Selande Charles, FNP, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner at Hope & Esperanza Community Health Center in Newark, New Jersey. She boasts over a decade of experience as an Advanced Registered Nurse in a variety of settings.
Selande received her associate's degree in nursing from Trinitas School of Nursing in Elizabeth, New Jersey. She went on to complete her Bachelor or Science degree in nursing at Kean University in Union, New Jersey, where she was awarded the Epsilon Epsilon Omega Honor Society award.
Selande received her master’s degree in nursing with a specialty in family nurse practitioner from Chamberlain College of Nursing in Chicago, Illinois. She has extensive clinical training in pediatrics, internal medicine, and obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN) care.
Selande maintains her advanced credentials with continuing education to stay up-to-date with the latest advances in family medicine. She’s a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, American Nurses Association, and National Alliance for the Advancement of Haitian Professionals. Selande is fluent in English, French, and Haitian Creole.
She has a compassionate bedside manner and works with patients of all ages to customize treatment plans that match their individual needs. Selande warmly welcomes patients to Hope & Esperanza Community Health Center and looks forward to caring for them.
